Carl Showalter

Carl Showalter is a distinguished business and community leader with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the Virginia Military Institute. As the President of Showalter Construction Company for the past 38 years, he has made significant contributions to the construction industry. His commitment to community service is evident through his 14-year tenure on the Board of Trustees for Charlotte Country Day and his past role as Chairman of YMCA Camp Thunderbird. Currently, Carl serves as the Board Chairman for the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation and is an active member of the Executive Committee of the University of North Carolina Health Foundation.

A dedicated member of Christ Episcopal Church Vestry, he also holds memberships in the Masonic organizations, including the York and Scottish Rite, and is a Shriner. Carl has been married to Jane Victor for 41 years, and they have three sons, with their eldest, Vic, a graduate of UNC School of Medicine.
