Victor Kats

Victor Kats has been a member of the Board of Directors of the UNC Health Foundation since 2020 and serves on the Executive and Audit Committees.

Mr. Kats has spent 25 years in healthcare operations and investments across non-for-profit health systems, public and private healthcare software companies and private equity. He currently serves as Managing Partner of Seminal Capital Holdings, LLC and Head of SEMCAP Health, its healthcare investment arm. He was previously a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Technology at Ascension Ventures, a subsidiary of Ascension Health, one of the largest non-for-profit health systems in the U.S. Prior to that, Mr. Kats was a healthcare technology executive at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and Misys Healthcare Systems during the early years of electronic health record adoption in the U.S.

Mr. Kats has served on the Board of Directors of Cedar Gate Technologies, VisitPay Inc., Vivify Health, Inc., Phreesia, Inc. (NYSE:PHR), Voalte, Inc., Get Well Network, MedVentive, Inc., and Owl Insights among other digital health companies. He is currently a Board Observer at SafeRide Health Inc.

Mr. Kats received his BSBA degree with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
