Victor Kats

Victor Kats has been a member of the Board of Directors of the UNC Health Foundation since 2020.

Mr. Kats currently serves as Managing Partner of Seminal Capital Holdings, LLC and co-head of SEMCAP Health, its healthcare investment strategy. He was previously a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Technology at Ascension Ventures, a venture capital and private equity arm of Ascension Health, one of the largest non-for-profit health systems in the U.S.  Prior to that, Mr. Kats was a healthcare technology executive at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and Misys Healthcare Systems during the early adoption years of electronic health record systems.

Mr. Kats serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Cedar Gate Technologies and Owl Insights and was a Director of VisitPay Inc., Vivify Health, Inc., Phreesia, Inc., and Voalte, Inc., among other digital health companies.

Mr. Kats received his BSBA degree with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
