As December winds down, the historic and record-breaking Campaign for Carolina might be expected to coast to a close. Instead, our amazing donors continue to give in diverse and impactful ways, making the year’s end a final sprint for the finish.

UNC Health delivered the best year ever for a school or unit and became the first unit – ever – to pass $200 million in a single fiscal year. At the final tally, campaign gifts will have generated nearly $1.4 billion for UNC Health and School of Medicine.

Launched publicly in 2017, the campus-wide Campaign for Carolina passed its original overall goal of $4.25 billion in January 2022, reaching $5 billion in November. The total breaks fundraising records at Carolina and places the Campaign for Carolina among the most successful efforts ever in higher education.

For our part, we could not be more grateful for the vision, compassion and commitment of our donors. Thank you for all you do, each day and every year, to educate our world-class healthcare workforce and improve health and well-being throughout our state.
