Raising critical funds for UNC Lineberger’s Comprehensive Cancer Support Program

Constellation Brands and all Corona wholesalers across North Carolina come together each August to support the mission of the N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital through its Corona Cares program.

This program donates 25 cents of every case of Corona Extra, Corona Light and Corona Premier sold and 100 percent of all donations from paper limes purchased at retail locations and convenience stores.

Since the program launched in 2010, Corona Cares has raised more than $2.5 million for UNC Lineberger’s Comprehensive Cancer Support Program (CCSP), a multidisciplinary program dedicated to helping patients, caregivers and families with cancer treatment, recovery and survivorship.

Thanks to Corona Cares, the CCSP provides support to North Carolinians who travel long distances for chemotherapy appointments or who struggle not only with the cost of radiation but also utility bills and rent payments each month.

“It makes it a little bit easier for patients to make it to their appointments, if they don’t have to choose between a copay and their rent,” said CCSP Director Donald Rosenstein, MD. “We get so many people from all corners of the state, and what we’re able to do for those with limited resources is augment our clinical services here at the hospital. We wouldn’t be able to run the CCSP as well without these funds.”

Special thanks to the following wholesalers from across North Carolina who are supporting Corona Cares in 2023:

Adams Beverage – Charlotte
Carolina Premium Beverage – Concord
Coastal Beverage – Wilmington
Healy Wholesale – Fayetteville
