2022 Roy Williams’ Fast Break Against Cancer
For nearly two decades, Roy Williams’ Fast Break Against Cancer has supported UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the N.C. Cancer Hospital. To date, this special event has raised more than $3 million for research and patient care here in Chapel Hill.
After the COVID-19 pandemic forced a hiatus, we were delighted to host the 16th Fast Break breakfast on the Roy Williams Court at the Dean Smith Center on Thursday, March 3. Our guest speaker for the 2022 event will be former Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner and North Carolina football letterman John Swofford. A Morehead Scholar and 1971 graduate of UNC, Mr. Swofford served as Director of Athletics at UNC for 17 years and ACC Commissioner for 24 years before his retirement in 2021.
Fast Break will follow UNC Community Standards in place at the time of the event. Currently, masks must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times while indoors unless actively eating or drinking. While vaccinations are strongly encouraged, they are not currently required. If you prefer to watch the program from the comfort of your home, please select the virtual option at registration.
