Encouraging Memorial Gifts to UNC Lineberger

If you have lost a loved one and wish to encourage memorial contributions to UNC Lineberger, you may include specific wording in the obituary notice, such as “In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Checks may be made payable to UNC Health Foundation with your loved one’s name in the memo line. Checks may be mailed to the address below.”

Purchase a Commemorative Tile

Create a lasting tribute to someone special by purchasing a Commemorative Tile in the N.C. Cancer Hospital.

Looking for the perfect way to celebrate a joyful occasion or remember a loved one?

Purchase a Commemorative Tile to memorialize someone you love, honor an outstanding achievement, or celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other important milestones.

For just $1,000, you can craft a message that will forever be a part of the N.C. Cancer Hospital campus. Your tile purchase will help expand patient support services as well as critical programmatic, faculty and clinical research priorities in the hospital.

  • Tiles cost $1,000 each, are 1.5” x 4” and made of copper metal
  • Your message can include up to three lines of text with 20 characters on each line (includes spaces and punctuation)
  • Tiles are installed quarterly on planters at the Outdoor Terrace of the N.C. Cancer Hospital (located next to Starbucks)
