A Community Effort: Bringing Maternity Care Back to Chatham County

Maternity care units in rural hospitals are closing at unprecedented rates, placing thousands of mothers into difficult positions. Now, UNC Family Medicine is partnering with the Chatham County community to bring care back to where it is most needed.

Cystic fibrosis patient Ian Ferguson has spent his life beating the odds. Now, he is giving back to research that aspires to help others do the same.
