Dr. Sanoff is excited about a new clinical trial for rectal cancer that will test two different chemotherapy treatments. The hope is to increase the proportion of people with rectal cancer who can avoid having life-altering rectal removal.
“We have seen so much change in our treatments since I started practicing oncology,” Dr. Sanoff says. “It’s so rewarding to be able to offer treatments today that have a real chance of meaningful, long-term benefit to people for whom a decade ago I had no treatments to offer at all.”
