Support UNC Lineberger in memory of Christopher Ray Walker

Christopher came to UNC in November 2017 with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. Over the next 20 months he had 12 surgeries and then 1 last surgery in 2021 to hopefully have the ostomy bag removed and put together one more time! Unfortunately this could not be done and Chris was devastated. He lost his life battle on January 11th, 2022. We would like to thank Janet Njrage who was Dr. Koruda’s nurse. She thought of Chris like a son! We would also like to thank all of the thoughtful nurses on the 6th floor, East Side who cared for Christopher over the years. One in particular was Miss Coretta! She was a precious spirit and loved Chris!

We will miss our precious boy but he will be forever in our hearts!
