For four years, students at the UNC School of Medicine have worked toward Match Day — the day they learn where they will work as resident physicians for the next several years, honing their specialized medical skills. On March 18, they reached that milestone and received the emails that will send them onto their next chapter.

While Match Day is one step in a long journey for our future healthcare providers, it also highlights the hard work and determination required to reach this incredible moment. For many students at the School of Medicine, it’s a moment that wouldn’t be possible without donor support in the way of scholarship funds.

You can read more about students who matched this year, including Brandon Feaster (Lowder Scholarship), Aletheia Burrell (Dalldorf Loyalty Fund Scholarship) and Josh Ewy (Dr. and Mrs. William Herndon Loyalty Fund Scholarship) at unc.edu/story/match-day/.
