UNC Health Value Superstars are teammates who exemplify our System Values and make a positive impact on our teammates, patients and communities.
This month’s Value Superstar is Stefanie Wisda, PT, DPT, CSRS, GCS, a physical therapist in UNC Health Rex’s Rehab Services, who is Leading the Way in patient care.
A teammate shares that Stefanie is an excellent preceptor and mentor, a supportive and collaborative teammate, and someone who is always boosting morale.
Stefanie also has an “amazing dedication” to her, which led her to improve her skills and ability to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) patients.
After noticing that most of the patients she has cared for in the MSICU over the past five years belonged to the geriatric population, Stefanie took the initiative to become a board-certified clinical geriatric clinical specialist.
Stefanie is the first teammate at Rex, and one of only 4,112 in the country, to receive this certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
