Scientists and clinicians affiliated with the UNC Neuroscience Center are innovating technologies to study brain function and developing new treatments for debilitating brain disorders. Our mission is to promote neuroscience research that is innovative, collaborative, and translational. By facilitating the rapid integration of basic and disease-related neuroscience research at UNC, the Neuroscience Center aims to harness advances in neuroscience in the service of patients and families suffering from neurological and psychiatric illnesses.

Gifts to the UNC Neuroscience Center ensure we sustain cutting-edge research and student training, and make breakthrough treatments for diseases like autism, addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic pain.
